Umor Rex Records began in the summer of 2006, committed to the premise of free, downloadable albums by original, exclusive artists. The parameters were wide and flexible, unbound by a dominant genre in the catalogue; music as diverse as rock, folk, lo-fi and electronica met and mingled in a casual, natural manner. In 2011, Umor Rex began releasing vinyl records & cassettes. Consistent to their DIY nature and love of physical media, Umor Rex releases are limited pressings with special attention to aesthetics and uniqueness.
